Part-Time Job

As a student in his holiday, I am doing part time job. I only need to sit in front of a computer--with free internet--and serve costumers who wants to print, scan, or burn. What made me bored is working for hours. I don't know what more to browse on the internet, as I only open my often visited by me links. I don't know that working is pretty tiring and boring. Yeah, that is life, I still need to learn more.

a class head life

Okay. I decided to stop the IVED post as it has been too long and I don't have the time to look at the tabulation sheet. I just want to write about my wonderful life.

Geez. How could this semester is no different than the previous one. I am a busy as before. I just don't know why. I was planning on concentrating to just academics this semester. As the matter of fact I can't do it just because I am the class head. I started to hate that title. Everyone just shouting my name when they need to know something. I am not a walking computer where all the information are. They should search for them self the information and stop asking whether there will tutorial or not, where are the photocopies, and where the heck is the damn teacher.

No, I am not thinking to resign. I just can't. I love my title as the class head. I fell in love with it. Becoming the class head allow me to know how different my friends from each other. I really realise how unique one person can be. Thus each person need a different approach. Study-oriented, gaming-oriented, whatever-happen-happens type, why-my-score-is-not-perfect one, even Yu-Gi-Oh!-maniac. It really interesting to know how regional culture forms each person differently.

I have my own life : watching animes, reading books, playing games, studying, go here go there, and many more, but to take care of others life is fun and amusing for me.

Thank you my class. Love you guys.

how holiday was over and i will back to real life

Okay, I postponed IVED daily report; and I know it wasn't daily reports, bear it. I will post as soon as I studied the standings which I had just got. I was too busy being the committee putting the debate aside. I even had to stay at the lodging for one day! That really surprised me, as I have never been stay at one place accidentally without preparation. I am not one kind of person which doing something until late and then decided to stay at the place. I prefer going home even if it already midnight.

Just want to let you guys, my lovely readers, my holiday finally over and tomorrow I will back into real life. It was fun, I got to know many things new from new books, a photography club, a debate competition in which made me interested in debating again, animes, fansubbing, bunch of new knowledge, and even a new OS! I am using Ubuntu right now! I'll tell you later what I have been through just to get it working.

Thanks to everything and to everyone which and whom involved in my holiday. It was a really wonderful experience which gave me new spirit to my life. My life here I come!

IVED - Day Three

Basically the third day was almost the same like the previous day. The debaters went through the last three preliminary round in which the last round was a silent round. The third day ran smoothly from the start till the end. The sixth round being the last was finished at about 6 pm.

The different thing was of course 'The Break Night Party'. It was where we had a party before the announcement. There were total four performances; two bands (sorry I forgot their names), UKSU (Unit Kesenian Sumatera Utara) ITB, and a dj who made the audience dancing on the stage. This is of course not only different in the context of the whole event, but also different in the context in IVED or the debate competition in general.

After the crazy dances on the floor. Our lovely CA (Chief Adjudicator) and his four DCA (Deputy Chief Adjudicators) announced the 40 breaking adjudicators and the 16 breaking teams. I'll post the standing at another time. Stay tuned folks.

IVED - Day Two

Day two of IVED was chaotic. The debaters start coming at 8 o'clock and the got their breakfast. After finished eating, the next thing was motion launch. It was impromptu motion! Responsible fun, as written in the heading. As the debaters were case building, the A-Team assigning the adjudicators to each chambers. This was very time-taking. As I first stated the second day was chaotic in term of time. The third preliminary round at the second day finished at about 8 at night which 3 hours late from schedule! Another note here, for chamber 21 to chamber 24 in which the debate must be done on terrace because of the chamber had been closed before by the employee there. This is, of course, inappropriate. Despite that problem and the time problem, the second day of IVED run through the end.

See you at the third day. ;D

IVED - Day One

The day started by registration and opening ceremony with speeches from SEF head master, Pandu. After more speeches, the event continued by seminar about debating and adjudicating which were given by our Chief Adjudicator, Uphie and four Deputy Chief Adjudicators.

The next event in schedule was exhibition debate for accrediting adjudicators. The motion for the exhibition was THW decriminalize the possesion of all drugs. The affirmative team which consisted of Pandu, Syauqi, and Urfi brought about citizen's right in wellfare country to choose what they want as long as they have rational thinking. The negative team which consisted of Caessar, Meganusa, and Callos brought about drugs make the users get addicted, so they are not making a rational decision when the are consuming drugs. The secong classes was about illegal or black markets. Affirmative side believed that their policy about legalizing drugs will eliminate the black markets; the negative side in the other hand disagree with that saying that the black market will still be there because of its own nature.

Well, as I can't give deep assessment of the debate we'll continue on the next event in schedule which  was lunch break in the same time accreditation for accrediting adjudicators. After the lunch break while accrediting process still in its way, the event continued with master round in the debaters hall. The master round was about should or should not government provide flavoured condoms in a cannibalism culture country. The master round was conducted in British Parliamentary which was consisted of four teams each consisted of two persons. Somehow the debate was about oral sex intercourse in which government should or should not provide flavored condoms because in cannibal culture where people eat a person's meat, flavored condoms could give solutions for problem in cannibal country which was Africa. Full of crazy ideas the debate was full of laugh from the audience.

Those were all what we had just done today which were pretty fun and exhausting for those who does not get enough sleep because of the travel. The debate competition is going to start tomorrow. So, see you there folks.
